How Does It Work for Broadcasters?

Subscription Badge
The subscription badge is the foundation of the system. When creating a Creator Badge Reward event, the broadcaster sets a subscription threshold — somewhere between one and five subscriptions — that viewers must reach to unlock the badge. The broadcaster decides where that bar sits. A small streamer building community might set it at one sub. A larger channel might push it to five.
Prime subscriptions do not appear to count toward this threshold based on how Twitch has handled similar badge events in the past, though creators should verify this when setting up their own events as the beta evolves.
Watch Time Badge
On top of the subscription badge, a broadcaster can also add a watch time badge to the same event. The watch time badge rewards viewers who have spent a certain amount of time watching the channel, recognizing dedicated lurkers and long-term community members who may not be in a position to subscribe multiple times.
There is one important rule here: the watch time badge can only be added if a subscription badge is already part of the event. You cannot run a watch-time-only Creator Badge Reward. The subscription requirement comes first, and the watch time badge layers on top.

Who Has Access Right Now?
Creator Badge Rewards are currently in beta and only available to certain channels.
